Many Kenwood and Elecraft transceivers support Auto Information mode. When enabled, AI mode causes the transceiver to output state changes as soon as they happen rather than waiting to respond to the next periodic poll. AI mode has the potential to allow an application or external controller to react much faster to state changes than periodic polling.
Has Elecraft ever considered implementing AI mode in the KAT500, KPA500, or KPA1500?
