Helping a friend to try to get the most out of his 2m equipped K3 especially for EME.
Is it recommended to use the internal preamp when the internal transverter is in use? I'm guessing "no" due to to 20db transverter RX gain. On page 21 of the P3 Owners Manual it describes the integration of the K3/P3 wrt attenuator and preamp settings. Does the K3 and P3 similarly communicate the additional 20db gain of the transverter and reflect that in a downward push of the P3 noise display?
