The '>1k' means that any resistance reading between 1k and infinity is acceptable. Readings below 1k are an indicator of a problem.
Similarly, '<50' means any resistance below 50 ohms are good, but anything above 50 is not good. Substitute other numbers for the '1k' and '50' as required.
