Mine starts working at speed 1 around 40C.  Fully automatic and 28C idle.

Yes, that’s what mine has done for 2 years.

BUT, the fans do not come on when the temp goes up, except with the PC programs.

Funny, my 1500 increases speed with increasing temp.  Above 70C it's quite the 
howler.
