Barry, can you provide more detail about the K2 settings when you hear the snapping sounds? For example, does this effect occur only in CW mode, or in USB and LSB modes as well?
For which filter settings does it occur (both CW and SSB filter settings)? Is your AGC turned ON or OFF? Does the snapping subside if the RF (actually IF) gain is backed off? Does the snapping subside if the AF gain is backed off? Does this phenomenon occur on all bands or just a few bands?
