I’m from Chicago, so seems like we got three or four at once. But I do remember the first TV set, Dumont 12 inch round tube, 1948. A friend of mine got a Halicrafters 5 inch or so near the same time, and an antenna on a tower. Plus an oil filled thing to look through that made the image bigger. Remember those colored plastic things people put over the screen to add a bit of color?
