Tom,
I would say 100 feet if you are running 100 watts. If you increase the
power, the distance should be increased. As is often said in cases like
this 'it all depends'.
I am assuming you are using the OCFD as a receive antenna. If you hear
the COR clicking while transmitting, they are too close.
