This is an interesting question. Eric and Wayne were authors of the design and updated the schematic (at least according to mine dated 2017). One of them may be able to tell us. The MCU type is listed in the schematic, but without knowing how big the memory block is, it is hard to tell what of the memory could be written to in the EEPROM area. Hopefully one or other will chime in and let us know.
