Just working on such project - it is possible, using USB mic, and ViceMeteer Banana or Potato. Nice description at https://forums.qrz.com/index.php?threads/going-software-defined.650584; I added also ability to use WSJTX, or any AFSK modes. Mic is connected to computer; Banana does mixing job and feeds KX3 via USB audio card.
