You are looking in the right place, in my opinion, with Siglent, Rigol, etc.
Another brand to look for is Hameg. They all offer lots of features and
value for the $$.
Great buys on Spectrum Analyzers there also, by the way ;>)
Back when I had my lab I had Agilent scopes, but if I were doing it over today,
I’d go with something like the above.
If you aren’t familiar with it, check out Dave Jones’s EEVBlog podcast. He has
dozens of detailed reviews of these scopes which include HD Video teardowns of
the internals as well as analysis of the circuitry. Should be available at
your favorite source of podcasts.
