Hi I recently acquired a new shack laptop, Win 10 Home, connected elecraft USB-RS232 cable to update firmware with the latest utility. But unsuccessful, got the message - <PL2303HXA phased out since 2012, please contact your supplier>
So I ended up doing it no problems with an older Win 7 laptop.
