Raj, That certainly sounds like a Writelog problem. If the K2 works properly with another program, then there is nothing wrong with the K2 interface or your connections - that leaves only the driving software and a small chance that the sequence of commands is creating an unexpected path somewhere in the K2 firmware.
There are methods of polling that are known not to work properly for all combinations. As an example, the polling done by the N4PY rig control software causes problems if the KRC2ACC is incorporated into the setup - the N4PY software works FB without the KRC2ACC included, and works nicely with the KRC2 (only the 'ACC' versions gives problems).
