I have pretty severe hearing loss and my solution is a behind the ear Bluetooth
controlled hearing aid that has an accompanying smart phone app that allows me
to boost or otherwise customize on the fly bass, mids, and treble. Additional
on the fly customizable features include noise reduction, speech focus, and
wind noise reduction. Mine is also lithium battery-powered and rechargeable
which is a big convenience. Although it isn't a complete fix to the problem,
it is a real big improvement. It is a major improvement over my previous
in-the-ear hearing aid. I'm happy to share more details if you are interested.
