I have an interesting question I hope someone can answer:

Im running a dual band amp - a very old Henry 6 N 2.
I’ve used it primarily on 6 m but recently got it tuned back up for 2 m as well.

I want to drive it with the K3 on both bands.

The input circuit for the amp as separated connectors for 6 and 2 however the
Internal circuits of course all lead to the cathodes of the 8874’s. So when one
drives
On either band there is RF energy cross coupling on either input. So the 6 m
power would have 2 m RF on it
And vice versa…

Here is the question: When the K3 switches to Transmit, do all the antenna
ports switch
Together or just the active port?

Also, wrt to the internal 2 m transverter, is it powered off when not in use,
and does the receive port
See the outside world at all times…

The reason Im asking is I don’t have 2 DPDT relays but can put switching
together using multiple SPDT relays.
One the drive side however I have a nice dual SPDT relay that can switch both 6
and 2 m RX and drive but it only has
One coil so it would be active on either band… however this would put the 2 m
RX line into the amp input at the same time
As 6 m so I suspect this would not be a wise idea…
