I had some "adventures" with a bias T pair used to power a remote tuner and the drive motor for my mag loop capacitor. I reduced the risk of future "adventures" by using a current limited power supply set to the minimum current needed for intended function.
If the high current station supply is used it would seem prudent to fuse the bias T feed.
