Tried to send this earlier but... HTML mail... I am consistently seeing “Ant Err” when I try to tune my KX3 with the KXPA100 inline in auto mode. + KX3 latest rev + KXPA100 latest rev + KXAT100 installed + KXPACBL all connected The KX3 will get a solid 1:2 match on this antenna, just fine, all bands, and of course the dummy load is fine when it’s connected directly to the KX3.
On either antenna connection, with an antenna or the dummy load, the SWR comes up at about 50, 60 or higher and the rig shows “Ant Err” after trying to tune for quite some time. This happens regardless of whether it’s the dummy load or the actual antenna. I’ve disassembled the amp to make sure I didn’t miss anything (it appears I did not). I’ve also made sure I have the antennas connected correctly within the amp (from Ant 1 and Ant 2 in to the small connection on the tuner board). I noted there is no wire connecting the tuner board and the “mother board” (I am hoping this is correct). I carefully followed each step in the build process (I did the self-build option, just so I could learn like on days like these). I can only assume I’ve missed some simple step, but for the life of me I’m not sure what it could be. The fault table only shows “A NO MATCH” fault codes after each attempt at tuning.
