Gentlemen. I just bought one of these Chinese knock-offs on eBay. I haven't opened it - it arrived today. Is someone willing to try it out and measure the phase noise in their otherwise properly working K3s?
I am on the second factory KTCXO-3 that has since drifted so bad that Elecraft sent me a new standard oscillator. I have access to a GPSDO for 10 MHz so it's not a huge issue except for the fact when portable I don't have that luxury. The standard oscillator is ok - It just the principle I guess. So anyone want to test it out? I'll mail it to you. I do not have the expertise to measure phase noise myself or the tools.
