Oh, that's a cool trick! Sadly, I don't see anything in the manual or on Google about it for the KX3.
You can, of course, always assign that menu option to PF1 or PF2, or go further and do one of the cute pairs of macros to toggle between the two modes you use. Congrats on the KX3, by the way!
