Keep in mind that if you use the XVn OFS feature on a KX3 (latest
firmware) and your offset is bigger than 0.66, you trigger a firmware
bug where the firmware will crash and squeak if power-off and power-on
the KX3.
Unfortunately, the KX3 is not so nice with transverters; there is a

(sent multiple times to support, Eric and Wayne directly; no response,
and most of the issues should be less than 30 minutes work for someone
with access to source code, and can be done in full Corona-isolation)
In my case, my transverter-setup is GPS-locked and I don't need the OFS
feature. But software maintenance to older models doesn't reflect well
to Elecraft's newest offerings. And that hurts. A lot.
