I have a Kx3, because I can take it to the field. But most of the time I use it at the home shack. I recently got an amp to use with the KX3, but I am getting tired of using the elecraft hand mike. I have a boom mount for a microphone, but am finding out that the KX3 does not handle a dynamic microphone well. So my dilemma for a dynamic mike seems to be: 1- adding a mixing board that will boost the output of the dynamic mike to acceptable levels for the KX3. 2 - Getting an inline mike amp and a 48v power supply to run the inline amp. The mixing board solution would work, but I don't have the desk space for it. For a condenser microphone solution, it would need to operate off the 3v bias voltage from the KX3. Does anyone have ideas of how to solve my dilemma?. Any solution would be a mike that will mount on my boom mike arm.
