FWIW, my wife had very good results from Paypal. She bought a saddle online and paid with paypal. When it arrived, it did not match the description or photos. The seller ignored her protests so she contacted PP. She reasonably quickly got a human, explained the situation and sent pictures. They withheld the funds from the seller. The saddle was sent back. The seller claimed not to have received it, but the proof of delivery cleared that up and my wife got her money back. She is a firm believer in PP.
I've had two bad transactions in 40 years and had excellent results with my credit card company reversing the charges (PP not involved.)
