What is a typical input impedance for modern receivers, or specifically
Elecraft receivers?
Many years ago, while working as a consultant designing large sound
systems, antenna systems for wireless mics operating on un-used VHF TV
channels were usually included. I inquired with the designers of those
wireless systems as to the input Z of the receivers. The responses were
"I don't know, but I'd guess in the range of 50-100 ohms."
I've measured the input Z of my K3 and it was 50 ohms, with a bandpass
filter in front of it.
