In casually collecting world coins I discovered from "The Phone Book" -- a catalogue of world coins -- that the true political and cultural history of a country was reveled through the coinage. Like stamps, I preferred circulated coins.  The stories I imagined they could tell.

Fast forward to my new-found love of DX.  Those faraway people and places now come to life.  Not so OT after all.
