Thanks everyone for your quick responses. So far, none of the suggested solutions have worked, so I hooked the KPA100 up to a different power supply, an Alinco DM-330MV, and I had the same whirling noise, only not quite as loud.
This leads me to believe that something in the KPA100 is causing some kind of line noise to the power supply. Is there a fix for this? If not, the noise doesn't really bother me, but is this noise affecting my signal when I TX? That is my real concern and I should have made that clearer in my first email.
