When I plug my AKG K240 headphones into the front panel jack, my K4D produces static when transmitting. Removing the headphones plug, my transmitted audio is normal. If I use the rear jack with these same headphones, there is no problem with my transmitted audio.The Elecraft K4 operating manual (rev 17, March 10,2022) states some headphones will not work with the front panel phones jack unless a resistor is added in parallel. The front phones jack depends on the transducer providing a resistance path to ground when inserted.I hope this can be fixed in a future firmware update.
