How did you manage to blow the finals? Are the internal protections of the KPA1500 inadequate in some way? It took quite a bit of testing for me to find out why my KPA500 being shut down when it was being operated within spec limits. Despite that educational detour I'd still prefer the monitors to be over-protective than under-protective.
