I have an error on my KPA1500 which occurs when the amplifier is ONLY placed in "OPER". Given on a minimum of 5.8 to 7.0 watts of drive from the K4D, the amplifier faults and displays the following: "LOW GAIN RADIO 1". This occurs on all bands from 160 to 15 meters but not 12 to 6 meters. I suspect that this will mean a trip back to the mothership. On the K4D, the error message is "ER31 - POWER INPUT TOO HIGH". According to the K4D manual, this error code means that it is amplifier induced. I could not find the amplifier error in the KPA-1500 manual. Anyone have any thoughts on this problem?
