Alan, I don't recall any unresolved problems with the KBT1 and the only complaint I have heard is that the smaller speaker does not sound quite as good as the larger one.
You will have to be more specific about your concerns, you did not give any information about the problem/concern that you were alluding to, so we can only guess.
