Hi Chris, Jim, K9YC advised that the MONitor settings may differ between your two radios even though both are set for the same perceived loudness in the same speaker/headphones. That triggered a thought - I would check that the encoder on the CMP/POWER control, which adjusts the MONitor volume, is working properly. The SWitch TEST mode in the TECH MODE menu enables one to test the four encoders for smooth increase in encoder count as each knob is rotated. Those encoders are known to eventually fail if the pushbutton action is used frequently.
