We rarely disagree, but we do on this. That Shure mic, and others in that family of communications mics, are far better choices. The SM58 put a presence peak up around 8 kHz, where the '50s-vintage horn drivers in big sound systems died, to extend their frequency response. Their communications mics put the peak around 3 kHz, where SSB HF response ends, and they drastically roll off the lows, which waste transmitter power with parts of speech that contribute nothing to speech intelligibility.
