my spare rig K3,,.,, decided to not have power out when set up for
Field Day GOTA..
strange as it had no ssb output,,,, however hitting tune did indeed have
power....
Ok so it has CW right !
no SSB boo hiss....
tested over & over .... using the tune command for testing cw ...
embarrassing for an elecraft fan to have bad radio ....
DO YOU SEE MY ERROR ???????
Opened it up to ;look around..... checked the circuit breaker...looiked
all good....
then I realized that testing under 12 watts ,,the relay was clicking
....i had power, but not over 12 watts...
then realized that TUNE was not really CW.,..but CW at 8 watts!!!!
cranked tune pwr to 15 watts and no output.
PWR AMP !!!! NOT THERE....
PULLED OUT CIRCUIT BREAKER AND ,DID A 5x DIS/RECONNECT OF THE QUICK
CONNECT F1 CONNECTORS ..
ALL IS GOOD NOW,,,, BAD CONNECTION AT THE CIRCUIT BREAKER,,,
proceeded with k3 for gota fd,,,
