I have purchased some bargain priced (older) Timewave DSP units, DSP-59+ and DSP-9+ at a ham swap meet. They DSP series have great audio amplifiers in them. They easily amplify the KX3's phones output to drive a nice 8 ohm speaker at a claimed 1.6W.
