I have been using the KAT100 for about a month now. I very much like
its operation. My question:
After the relays click and the SWR is nearly 1:1, on 7.007 MHz with
a G5RV, my output is limited to 20 W.
I adjust for any higher level and I get 20 out (on LCD). It seems at
ANY freq on ANY band, I get 20 out.
I independently found less than 2:1 SWR on the G5RV at 14.230 MHz.
Why is the KPA limited to 20 watts using a reasonably efficient
antenna at it's resonant freq (or near to it)?
I also checked on a wattmeter between XCVR and KAT...I get 20W out no
matter what input I specify.
Did I forget to adjust something?
