Two rigs + separate antenna for each + listen to both at same time = Space Diversity reception.

Old fashioned = good idea.

Have fun,

----- Original Message ----- There's the good old fashioned way of doing it. Use a separate receiver. Maybe a KX-1?

My shack is evolving (no Darwin jokes, please :-) at the moment. I'm planning on running the output of my rigs (currently 3) into a mixing board that will feed a single audio filter which will feed my headphones. This way, I can listen to either rig (or both at the same time) and I don't have to be switching things back & forth. The mixer will also serve as the mic preamp which feeds audio through the outboard EQ and outboard compressor prior to going into the SSB rig. I'll be able to monitor the mic signal before it goes into the rig as well as hearing it through the rig's MON circuit.

Fun!
