Thanks for the email comments which I received almost instantly regarding my lack of SSB output. In the end, I had neglected to switch the VOX setting to PTT!! There was no problem with the radio, just with me. The cost was three evenings of signal tracing and head scratching. For this, I got two benefits. First, it works. Second, I have a much better understanding of how it works.
