I had been running Debian Sid and was Microsoft free for the last 5 years.
Then I was finally allowed an antenna by the Landlord, so I became active again.
Only to find I was unable to even get echolink running in wine, nor was I able
to get any other of about 10 pgms I wanted to use to run or find a
*satisfactory* equivalent in linux. So I ended back on the dark side with xp for
my ham needs.
Bottom line, what ever OS fits you needs is the one to run. Sad but true.
