I have been wondering if this filter is the same design as the KAF2 without the clock. I have often wished I could use my KAF2 with other rigs. Having an outboard filter works well to clean up the harsh sidetones of many rigs. Like the K1. I have been using a SCAF outboard filter but maybe the mini module would be an improvement.
