RC, It would appear that the KAT2 is attempting to tune into an open circuit. Are you connecting to ANT2 and have ANT1 selected? Or the other way around? Check all your connections. If you still have problems, tune the KAT2 into a dummy load and see if it tunes properly to 1:1 - if not, you may have bad diodes in the KAT2 wattmeter or something else related to the wattmeter has a problem.
