This is a bit embarrassing. I did the solder reflow for the MCU and it got back to normal as I posted in my other email.
A few minutes later..it did it again but this time I had it hooked up to a tuner and saw the lights flashing on the tuner like it was trying to transmit. Huh? What was going on? Then all of a sudden I realized that I had plugged the headphones into the keyer jack. Duh. Take that out and all is well. I was so impressed with myself that I figured out what solder to reflow and fix it...then the truth comes out. BTW...I got an email from Jerry (WA2DKG) who guessed what I was doing with the headphones in the keyer jack. It was a good call on his part...and I have to wonder if he had the same issue!
