Frank, my experience is that Elecraft's response is truly first class.

Email them with a description of the part, board it comes from and part number.
Describe the fault and don't forget to include your name and address. They
send it out next working day. Replacement parts have all reached me in 7 - 10
days from their receipt of a request.

Recently, they posted some (purchased) spares to me on 21st December, the date
the order was emailed to them. The package of around 20 items reached me on
Thursday 28th, with everything individually packed, identified, priced and
neatly invoiced. They also emailed me to advise the despatch date. Frankly,
I've found it's easier to buy spares from them than to queue, wait, wait and
wait at the local Maplins, who don't really stock components any more. The
only fly in the oinment is that just occasionally HM Customs pick up items
valued at over $20. That adds £££'s and approximately 2 weeks. Replacement
parts under warranty shouldn't be a problem, though, as they are clearly marked
as such and seem to be passed straight through by Customs.

HTH HNY & 73 to everyone. DaveL G3TJP
