There is a small, rectangular, black plastic jumper with 2 holes in it. You slide that over the indicated pins of P7. It is the easiest of the jumpers to place. Look for that little, black mystery part. There is a pic of it in appendix A - page 4, next to the last item.
Good Luck and go slow Dohn N8EWY -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Dennis Vavra Sent: Saturday, January 06, 2007 10:06 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Elecraft] control board construction I need some clarification for the installation of a "shorting jumper" for part P7 on the control board. the instructions are on page 17, right-hand column, 3rd step down. Do I solder a piece of wire btwn the two right hand pins of P7, and if so, exactly where? During my attempt at installation, I damaged part P7, also damaged part P5 with my soldering iron so I will have to order two new parts Monday. I am concerned as to the state of the PCB board now because much of the plating at P7 and P5 was removed/damaged. wonder how this will pan out during testing. any suggestions are welcome.
