It sounds like a power supply problem. I would look at the voltage you are supplying both at the supply itself and in the K2's display and watch it. I've seen people that use too small wire or have a bad connection to the K2 and as you pull current it heats up the connection and creates a voltage drop and the K2 will then reset.
