Joe,

You likely fried the MMIC chip.  Get another MMIC and install it, the Ngen
will be good as new.

I have done that soeveral times, so don't feel like the 'lone ranger'.  Slap
your wrists a couple times and vow not to do that again! <G>  But I keep a
couple MMICs on hand just in case.
