I've finally had time to return to my KX1 today and was loading the various parameters into memory. I want to use a straight key. I loaded (HND) hand key, but the only thing that happened when I close the key was to key the unit which remained keyed until I pulled the key plug out of the rig. I recalled a msg sometime ago from someone who gave instructions on how to use a straight key. I thought I saved it, but can't find it. Could someone pse send the directions. I recall it was a simple direction. Oh yes I now have a new problem. Since I keyed the rig I can no longer bring up the menu!! What happened?? I disconnected the power for a few minutes but no change. I am able to change mode/RIT etc. BUT no menu. I sometimes believe I am loosing my mind!
