5916 reached the 7 MHz receiver test stage today and worked. With 300 ft of antenna and a very busy forty metres the receiver is impressive. The front end is probably better than my old Corsair, the filters are as good and the IF strip, thanks to the tail end filters, significantly quieter. I think the soldering iron will take a rest for a few days now while I enjoy the receiver!
