Since I don't operate SSB, I have been a long time getting around to some mods
on the SSB board. I removed original capacitors and crystals, and installed
the new crystals and the capaciotors for 2.4 khz wide reception. i had long
ago done the upgraded 2nd XFIL mods on the RF board.

May i report for anyone who may not have done these mods yet that the result is
absolutely transformational. Ripple is said to be less than 1%, and listeing,
it seems so. Upper and Lower SSB are no longer "tipped" that is one more
sensitive at one end of the spectrum while the other more sensitive at the
other end. Wider, the sound is simply outstanding.

I narrow the passband to combat QRM using the DSP only, not the XFIL, and that
works beautifully. Copy remains quite good right on down to 1.6 wide.

These are great modifications.
