The K3's VFO A knob is custom machined from aluminum. It's much larger than the K2's VFO knob, and includes a rubber ring and tuning dimple.

The K3 also has a VFO B knob. It's smaller than the VFO A knob and has a plastic shell, but it is internally brass-weighted so it, too, will spin. In fact the VFO B and VFO A encoders are identical units that can be set up for 400, 200, or 100 counts per turn.

All of the other knobs on the radio are also custom designed to our specifications. They are wider spaced than the K2's knobs by a good stretch, which seems to have been the most-requested K3 feature over the years ;)
