Hi Wayne, The only reason i'm not sending you my order today, is purely a cash flow problem; i do have to shuffle some priorities, before placing such a deposit. Most probably i'll sell some non-elecraft appliances i still own... But you can bet that i'll buy one (in kit form), and i'll use it every day like i do for my K2. THEN you will be, most probably, right there with Collins; you almost did with the K2..... Cheers, Paolo P.s. I have been walking on a 2,000 years old trail from Bologna to Florence recently. It took 3 whole days, it's about 60 miles long... Actually, it was the "Flaminia Militare" Roman Consular Highway. The trail runs on top of the hills, right on the divide. I had my KX1 with me, with a lenght of wire as an antenna. The area is out of range for cellular phones, but every day at lunch time, while the soup was heating, it was very comfortable to find ourselves in touch with half of the planet...
