Congratulations on the new K3 !

I'm curious about how Elecraft views the market for the K2 now that the K3 is available. Currently there are four different radios, each built at different times using different technologies. The K3 and a reasonably set-up K2-100 cost about the same. From what I've seen, the only factor that the K2 'wins' with respect to the K3 is the receiver operating current. Could you give us some insight on what the relative advantages are of the particular radios ? I.e., In what cases would the K2 'win' against the K3, or the K1 'win' against the K1X ? Put another way, If the K3 has not made the K2 obsolete, why not ?

Thanks.

Douglas Todd, KE7GYQ.

Me too! They're two entirely different rigs, with different purposes.
