Hi Elecrafters I'm very very happy at the moment with my new K2 100 serial 05877, worked loads of stations and having fun /P also. I have all I need now in this radio. This weekend I built and installed the K60XV 5MHz unit and this morning 0830hrs local time, I'm tuned into 5.290.00MHz monitoring GB3ORK, UK beacon in Orkney, north of Scotland, some 900 plus miles North of my qth NR London. I thought I would like to mention that in RadCom magazine this month the UK, 5MHz working group has suggested a frequency of 5.289.00 or 5.291.00MHz for CW working. The beacon frequency on 5.290.00 should be kept clear for monitoring etc. More info can be found in the United Kingdom by looking at the link below. The UK beacons are GB3RAL, GB3WES, & GB3ORK.
